Question 7

What is TruFrame® cabinetry?

Accepted Answer

TruFrame® is a patented cabinet system that delivers a full-access interior with the structural integrity of a true face-frame cabinet, plus the tight 1/8" modern reveals previously only available on frameless cabinets. It is the only cabinet design that combines solid wood face frame construction, full accessibility, and modern reveals in a single product.

Question 8

What is the difference between framed, frameless, and Affinity TruFrame® cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Traditional framed cabinets have a solid wood face frame for strength, but their center stiles can restrict access to the cabinet interior, and they typically have wider reveals between doors. Frameless cabinets offer full interior access and tight 1/8" reveals, but rely on edge banding and less robust joinery. TruFrame® combines the advantages of both: a solid wood face frame, a full-access interior, tight 1/8" reveals, no edge banding, and superior hinge support, without compromising quality or style.

Question 9

What are tight reveals in cabinetry?

Accepted Answer

Reveals are the visible gaps between cabinet doors and drawer fronts. "Tight reveals" refers to the minimal 1/8" gap that creates a sleek, modern, European look. Traditional framed cabinets typically have much wider reveals. TruFrame® uses specialized European-style hardware and our flush-face frame design to achieve tight 1/8" reveals on a framed cabinet.

Question 10

What is full-access cabinetry?

Accepted Answer

Full-access cabinetry means the cabinet opening is not restricted and the interior is fully accessible, allowing for wider drawers and interior storage components. A face frame or center stile may still be present. Traditionally, only frameless cabinets offered full access. TruFrame® is the only patented system that delivers full-access storage inside a true face-frame cabinet.

Question 11

Does Affinity TruFrame® support inset and full overlay door styles?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TruFrame® construction is fully compatible with both inset and full overlay door configurations. The same patented frame supports inset, full overlay, traditional raised panel, modern slab, and shaker doors. One frame, unlimited design possibilities.

Question 12

What kind of hardware comes standard on Affinity TruFrame® cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Every TruFrame® cabinet includes premium European hardware, including soft-close drawer slides and soft-close European-style hinges. These features come standard on every unit.

Question 13

Are Affinity TruFrame® cabinet drawers dovetail?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all TruFrame® cabinet drawers feature solid wood dovetail joinery as standard. Dovetail construction is the gold standard for drawer strength and longevity.

Question 14

Do Affinity TruFrame® cabinets have soft-close doors and drawers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Soft-close hinges and soft-close drawer slides are included as standard on every Affinity TruFrame® cabinet.

Question 15

What wood species does Affinity TruFrame® Cabinetry offer?

Accepted Answer

Affinity TruFrame® offers premium wood species including Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Walnut, White Oak (Quarter Sawn and Rift), Beech, and Alder (including rustic Alder). Each species is available in multiple stains and finish options.

Accepted Answer

Question 18

Question 20

What makes Affinity TruFrame® different from other cabinet brands?

Accepted Answer

TruFrame® is the only patented cabinet system that combines five key advantages in one product: (1) full-access interior, (2) tight 1/8" modern reveals, (3) solid wood face frame construction, (4) compatibility with any door style, and (5) a limited lifetime warranty.

Question 21

Is TruFrame® better than frameless cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TruFrame® delivers the tight 1/8" reveals and full-access interior that designers want from frameless cabinets, plus the structural strength of a real solid wood face frame. Frameless cabinets rely on edge banding and weaker joinery, while TruFrame® uses solid wood components built to last for decades.

Question 22

Is TruFrame® better than traditional face-frame cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Traditional face-frame cabinets restrict interior access with center stiles and require wider reveals between doors. TruFrame® keeps the strength of solid wood face-frame construction while removing the access restrictions and delivering tight 1/8" reveals for a contemporary look.

Question 23

Are TruFrame® cabinets good for modern kitchens?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TruFrame® cabinets are ideal for modern, transitional, and contemporary kitchens. The patented flush-face frame design and tight 1/8" reveals deliver the sleek European look modern designers want - without compromising on structural quality.

Question 24

Can TruFrame® work for traditional or transitional kitchens?

Absolutely. With 30+ door styles ranging from classic raised panel to shaker to modern slab, plus inset and full overlay configurations, TruFrame® works for traditional, transitional, contemporary, farmhouse, and modern kitchen designs alike.
